My Rights Matter – Online supported decision making workshop for families and close supporters

  • When: Wednesday 10 April, 10am to 2pm
  • Where: Online via Zoom

Support the person you love to live the life they want

This free workshop is for families, friends and peers of people with intellectual disability.

The workshop is about supported decision making – a way to put the person with intellectual disability at the centre of their decisions and their life.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Explore how to support a person to make decisions to be who they want to be and do what they want to do
  • Reflect on real challenges – like taking risks and making mistakes
  • Develop a personal, positive and practical vision of supported decision making

You will share and grow through open discussion and collaborative activities with people like you. The workshop is co-facilitated by a person with lived experience of intellectual disability.

For more information, call us on 1800 424 065 or email sdm@cid.org.au.

If you are an organisation or group of families and would like us to bring this workshop to you, please contact us.
