What you can do if you are fully vaccinated

  • Fully vaccinated means you have had two jabs.

    This means you can now do more things if you are fully vaccinated.

    If you are not fully vaccinated you cannot do these things.

  • These are the new rules for fully vaccinated people.

  • Visiting people in their home

    You can have unlimited (fully vaccinated) guests at home.

    All adults who live in that home must be fully vaccinated.

    Children under 12 do not need to be vaccinated.

  • People who live in aged care facilities and disability homes can have visitors.

    Their visitors must follow the rules of the home.

  • Pubs, restaurants and cafes

    These are open for fully vaccinated people.

    People under 16 who are unvaccinated must be with a fully vaccinated person they live with.

  • Face masks

    You must wear a mask when

    • indoors except when you are at home
    • on public transport
    • at a public transport waiting area
    • in an airplane

    You must check in when you enter an indoor venue like a restaurant, a shop or a library.

  • You do not need to wear a face mask

    • If you are under 12 years old you
    • When eating or drinking
    • When talking with another person who is deaf or has problems hearing
    • In an emergency situation
    • Doing exercise outside
    • In a gym or in a dance class
    • When at a correctional centre, place of custody, or hospital (as a patient)
    • If you are resident at an aged care facility
  • Shops

    All shops are open for vaccinated people only.

    They will limit the amount of people for social distancing.

    You must wear a mask and check in.

  • Gyms and pools

    Gyms can hold classes for up to 20 people.

    Both outdoor and indoor pools are open.

     

  • Events and entertainment

    Theme parks, stadiums and other big recreation places are open for fully vaccinated people.

    There will be social distancing rules.

     

  • Cinemas, theatres, museums and libraries

    These are open for fully vaccinated people.

    There are limits on how many people for social distancing.

  • Weddings, funerals and places of worship

    Weddings, funerals and places of worship need to limit the amount of people for social distancing.

  • Travel outside your LGA

    People in Sydney don’t have to follow the 5km distance rule.

    People can travel between Regional NSW and greater Sydney.

  • You will need to show proof you have been vaccinated.
