Everyone has the right to good health care.

But at the moment there are many barriers to people with intellectual disability getting access to health care. This means that there are terrible health inequalities.

To try to address some of these inequalities, we have written health fact sheets for people who support people with intellectual disability – such as family members, health professionals, advocates, support people, and disability workers.
