We are looking for people with intellectual disability to be in our focus groups.
Focus groups are when a group of people meet to talk about an issue or thing.

The second round of the My Rights Matter grants is now open.
A grant is money to do a project

Grant applications close on 8 October 2023.

Workshop for women with intellectual disability

Northcott Innovation and disAbility Maternity Care got a grant from CID to make resources about pregnancy and parenting.

The resources will help women understand their choices during and after pregnancy.

You can join the project if
- You are pregnant or you have a baby younger than 6 years old
- You are over 18 years old
- You are a woman with intellectual disability

In the project you will
- Attend 3 workshops
- Talk about information you got during pregnancy
- Help create resources
- Be paid $150 per workshop
Learn 2 Lead

Learn 2 Lead is a great group to make friends and grow with each other.

Learn 2 Lead meets once a month to share ideas.

You do not need to be in Sydney to join.
You can come to meetings online and in person.

You need to be a CID member to join.
You can become a member at the link.
It is free to be a member if you are a person with intellectual disability.

Intellectual Disability Mental Health Connect study

The Intellectual Disability Mental Health Connect website talks about how people with intellectual disability can take care of their mental health.

The people who made the site want to hear what you think about it.

If you take their survey you could win a $100 gift card.

If you do an interview with them they will give you a $50 gift card.

Employment Focus Groups

SACID (South Australian Council on Intellectual Disability) are having focus groups about employment in October.

They want to talk to people who work at
- Australian Disability Enterprises
- Social enterprises
- Micro enterprises
- Open employment

You will get a $100 voucher for joining the focus group.
