We had our annual general meeting.
We say AGM for short.

Intellectual Disability Mental Health Strategy

NSW Health wants to hear from people with intellectual disability who have a hard time with mental health.

They want to know what you think about the Mental Health Strategy.

The Mental Health Strategy is a plan to make mental health services better for people with intellectual disability.

They want to speak to people who
- Are 18 years and older

- Have mental health concerns

- Can come to a 1 hour online meeting.

BreastScreen NSW study

BreastScreen NSW is working with University of Sydney.

They are doing a study about breast density.

Expert Advisory Panel for Gold Card Clinics

NSW Health and Project Air Strategy for Personality Disorders are working together.

They want to try out Gold Card Clinics for people with intellectual disability.
-
Gold Card Clinics are mental health clinics that give special help to people who are at risk.
-
They want people with intellectual disability to be on their expert advisory panel.
-
Meetings will be on Microsoft Teams in early December 2025 and February 2026.

Cancer research

Researchers from Flinders University and Cancer Council SA are doing a study.

The study is about making things better for people with intellectual disability who have had cancer.

They want to talk to all adults with intellectual disability.

They are looking for people to do one of these
- A 60 minute talk with someone
-
- A 90 minute focus group.

If you do a talk or focus group you will get a $50 gift card.
