Congratulations Fiona and Michael!

Fiona McKenzie and Micahel Sullivan are members of CID.
Fiona is a Director and Chair of the CID Board.

Michael was a Director for many years. He also was the Board Chair.

Fiona and Michael have been named Members of the Order of Australia.
This is an award that recognised their work for people with disability.

Fiona will get her award during the ceremony on 7 October starting at 10am.
Michael will get his award during the ceremony on 12 October.
The Health team travel to Maitland

Staff from our Health team went to Maitland to talk with Aboriginal Liaison Officers about a new workshop coming in October.

Learn 2 Lead

Learn 2 Lead is a group of CID members with intellectual disability.

They get together to:
- share ideas
- learn about leadership
- learn about working together

One member says
“It is about being a leader, learning from each other and sharing skills, knowledge and experience”.

Learn 2 Lead is looking for new members.
We meet from 2pm – 4pm on the third Thursday of every month.
You need to be a CID member to join.

The Youth CaLD Disability Collective at Multicultural Youth Advocacy Network want to talk to
- young people aged 18 to 30
- with a disability
- who are refugees or migrants.

They will have a meeting on Zoom on Wednesday, 5 October.
