More than Just a Job aims to make open employment for people with intellectual disability an everyday occurrence.

We offer free workshops for people with intellectual disability looking for a job.

We provide free training and support to businesses and staff who want to make their workplace inclusive.

Our workshops are facilitated by people with intellectual disability and by CID inclusion staff.

More than Just a Job for Business supports businesses to be more inclusive.

We come to your place of business and provide personalised support to help your business to successfully hire a person with intellectual disability.

Support for your business can include:

• Workshops on effective communication, inclusive recruitment processes and supports in the workplace
• Advice on accessible recruitment, job customisation and workplace adjustments
• Feedback, coaching and support on inclusive practices
• Training for staff members who will be colleagues to a person with intellectual disability
• Access to our practical guides and resources.

In our More than Just a Job for Staff workshop we go behind the scenes of the More than Just a Job for Me workshop that we run for people with intellectual disability. We show you how to uncover a person’s strengths and skills. We share the exercises we use in the workshops and unpack why and how we use them.

In this workshop you will learn what tools to use to enable someone to:

• Think about the kind of work a person would like
• Find their interests and strengths
• Set employment goals
• Find supports

This 3-4 hour workshop is suited for teachers and support workers for people with intellectual disability.
