What you can do during COVID

  • In this guide we explain the current NSW Government rules for COVID.

    There are still lots of cases of COVID and people are getting sick.

  • This is why CID wants people to keep being very careful.

    Some things you can do to keep safe are

    • Do not visit crowded indoor places
    • Wear masks
    • Social distance
    • Get vaccinated and get your booster shot

  • The current NSW Government rules are below.

  • Face masks

    From 24 December you must wear masks when you are inside. This includes places like

    • shops
    • shopping centres
    • offices
    • public transport
    • clubs
    • gyms
    • places of worship

    You can also decide to wear a mask anywhere you go if it makes you more comfortable.

  • You do not need to wear a face mask if you are under 12 years old.

  • Visiting people in their home

    You can have unlimited guests at home.

  • People who live in aged care facilities and disability homes can have visitors.

    Their visitors must follow the rules of the home.

  • Pubs, restaurants and cafes

    From 27 December the number of people inside will be limited in places like pubs and cafes.

    You can stand up or sit down when drinking.

    You must not sing or dance.

    You must check in when you enter

    • shops
    • cafes and restaurants
    • hospitals
    • aged and disability care centres
    • gyms
    • churches, funerals or memorial services
    • pubs and bars.
  • You will only need to show proof you have been vaccinated if you go to a music festival with more then 1000 people or a cruise with more than 100 passengers.
