Position statement on institutions

November 2025

Nearly all disability institutions in NSW have been closed over the last 40 years.

We have produced a position statement about our work on institutions.

CID wants the community to understand how people with intellectual disability suffered in institutions.

We want the community to learn from these mistakes so that they are not repeated.
