Our position statement on technology
People with intellectual disability have the right to effective communications to let them live a good life.
Websites, smartphones, online banking systems and other technologies can assist people with intellectual disability to communicate but it is critical that these technologies are:
- as easy to use as possible.
- fully accessible to people with intellectual disability.
Our position statement gives examples of technology and communication issues experienced by people with intellectual disability and sets out solutions.
