Good news about health
There have been some good things for the health of people with intellectual disability.
We ran campaigns to get governments to make big changes.
The governments agreed to make changes.
The NSW Government has funded intellectual disability health services.
The Australian Government has made a ten year plan to improve the health of people with intellectual disability.
We have updated our Health Position Statement.
The plan explains the changes CID thinks government needs to make for people with intellectual disability around their health.

Learn 2 Lead
Learn 2 Lead is a sub-committee of the CID Board.
They are a group of CID members who get together to
- share ideas
- learn about leadership
- learn about working together
One member says
“It is about being a leader, learning from each other and sharing skills, knowledge and experience”.
Learn 2 Lead is looking for new members.
We meet from 2pm – 4pm on the third Thursday of every month.
You need to be a CID member with an intellectual disability.

Arts Access Australia wants to share writing from people with a disability.
The theme is the rights of the individual.
If your story or poem is shared, you will be given $200.
