Conversation Card focus groups

  • CID has made Supported Decision Making Conversation Cards.

    The conversation cards assist people with intellectual disability and their supporters to talk about

    • feelings
    • actions
    • decisions
    • rights.
  • The cards have been translated into

    • Simplified Chinese
    • Traditional Chinese
    • Arabic
    • Tagalog
    • Vietnamese
  • We want to do a focus group about the cards.

  • We are looking for people who speak these languages who are

    • people with intellectual disability
    • supporters of people with intellectual disability
  • If you do the focus group you will be paid.

Inclusion Works

  • CID has a new project called Inclusion Works.

  • We will help councils understand how they can give jobs to people with intellectual disability.

  • We will give councils free training and coaching.

Supported decision making workshops

  • Our online workshop will be every Thursday from 13 July to 10 August from 10am to 12pm.

Supported decision making peer mentor group

  • Do you want to talk about decisions with peers with disability?

    Peers are people who have some of the same experiences as you.

  • Join the supported decision making peer mentor group.

  • We meet online.

  • We meet once a month.

    Our next group is on Wednesday 5 July from 10am to 11am.

  • We will talk about moving out.

Learn 2 Lead

  • Learn 2 Lead is a great group to make friends and grow with each other.

  • Learn 2 Lead meets once a month to share ideas.

    You can come to meetings online and in person.

Call It Out forms in Easy Read

  • Call It Out is a register of racism against First Nations people.

  • They have just created an Easy Read version of their reporting form.

Arts and Disability Grants

  • The Australia Council for the Arts is offering 6 grants of $30,000 to artists with disability.

  • These grants are for big projects.

Inner West Council Inclusion Festival

  • Inner West Council is having an Inclusion Festival in December.

  • They are looking for performers who
