Technology
People with intellectual disability have the right to access and use communications and technology.
More and more, people need to use technology to access goods and services but developers rarely take into consideration access needs of people with intellectual disability.
What CID thinks about technology
Websites, smartphones, online banking systems and other technologies can assist people with intellectual disability to communicate.
But the technology must be:
- as easy to use as possible.
- fully accessible to people with intellectual disability.

What we are doing
At CID we support people with intellectual disability to take part in consultations about technology including transport, banking and app development.
